The first time I saw the Mikado (a revival of the D'Oyle Carte Company), it was explained by the man who was playing the Lord High Executioner that G & S used to regularly update the List to make it topical and so that was what they were doing. Hooray that you have done this.
It is such a great song -- no none of them would be missed.
